Hymnologi - nordisk tidskrift calls for papers for its second digital issue, to be published in December 2024.

The issue is thematic and the theme is Hymn in the Nordic countries in the 21st century (Psalmen i Norden under 2000-talet), the same as Nordhymns conference in Copenhagen in October 2023.

All papers that conjugate with the theme are welcome, whether presented in Copenhagen or not. Questions can be asked via email to hymnologi.redaktion@gmail.com

The paper should be written in a Nordic language: Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, Faroese, Sami languages; English or German. All papers need an abstract in English, with keywords and a three-line biography. Papers written in the smaller Nordic languages may be translated into English.

    Editorial process

For the thematic issue the process is as follows:

    Deadline for articles: August 15th

This is followed by a peer reviewing process, double-blind, with a deadline for the peer reviewers at October 15th. If the peer reviewers suggest revisions by the author  there is a two week opportunity for these.

Publication in early December at journal.fi
